As a member of the Social Studies Team of the Student Evaluation Branch of Alberta Education, I was essentially a Developmental Editor responsible for the Social Studies Provincial Achievement Test: I provided in-servicing for test item writers (classroom teachers); drafted test blueprints; compiled and edited items submitted by teachers; wrote questions for difficult objectives where item writers were unsuccessful; conducted field testing & statistical analysis; supervised marking; and wrote provincial reports and policy papers.
