Review of the Literature

As first step for Grading Task Force, Dr. Winzer applied for and received a grant from University of Lethbridge Teaching Development Fund to conduct a literature review on grade inflation. Maggie hired graduate student Deb Beaton to assist her, and together they undertook a comprehensive review of the literature and concluded that
  • issue is widespread and recurrent
  • a variety of factors contribute to grade inflation. (These are discussed in detailed in following screens.)
